Clean the linens in hot water and dry them in the dryer and this will take care of any pathogens that may be present on them

Ordinary washing should kill them. Ordinary and regular hand washing will go a long way to preventing the spread of the flu, so why not?

most viruses can't live very long on fabric. once they dry out they die. yes, ordinary washing should kill them.
