Lower cost, base vehicles w/ 4 cylinder motors, I would say Honda. The base Accords and CRV's are better values. If you are loading them up with a lot of options and the optional V6's (not available on CRV), I would look at Toyota. More power, and not a lot more money. Both makes are very reliable, hold their values and are well designed.
The Accord is due to be redesigned for 2008, while all the other cars you listed have been redesigned recently. I personally would look to get my hands on an Accord Sedan with the V6 and the 6 speed manual. That failing a Camry SE V6 would fit the bill nicely. The Camry hybrid would be an excellent compromise, but I could not make myself pay sticker or above for any car. The tax breaks are also not as good as they used to be.

Honda accord. Honda is still the best car company to me. You always see a Honda over a Toyota. Honda are really hot right now so if you wanted to sell it you will always have a buyer. I say accord cuz I think the accord has more style then then crv! That's just my opinion at least!!!

If you have enough budget choose Honda CRV, next choices are Honda Accord, RAV4 and Camry.
According to the car yard dealer, Honda is the best overall amongst all the Japanese cars, second best is Toyota, and Mazda next is Mitsubishi and so on.
