Why will you not talk to us and tell us what's really going on? Is it to keep from saying something that will get you in trouble? Is it because you are stressed and don't want to talk? Is it because you are confused? Can you care about a girl and still close her out and not talk to her when she's let you know she's prepared for whatever you will tell her (good or bad---even maybe hurtful)?

First, although it is used as a joke, guys really don't talk that much, especially about the way that they feel. It is ingrained into us as boys, to "hang tough", and that a "real man" doesn't cry. Most males can sit and watch television and not say two words for several hours, they can drive for miles, without having a conversation, and they can go to bed at night, say "good night", and really want to go to sleep, so that they can get up early the next morning, for whatever reason. Yes they can love completely a woman, and not talk to her, for several hours, because they don't have a need to say anything. Having expressed all that most men realize that a woman likes to have a conversation, and know what is going on, and be able to exchange views. If he is "sensitive", he will take a half hour, more or less, and talk with his wife, or girlfriend at the end of the day, tell her something of his day, and listen to her day. But after all is said, he then respects her privacy, to allow her time to prepare herself, for her forthcoming day, as he does for his.

"Do you think that I am the most beautiful woman in the world, or only the best you can get?" What the heck is the guy supposed to say? I am sure that you are pretty or cute - but not the best on earrth. There is ALWAYS somebody bigger and better than anyone of us! Obviuosly you do not care too much for the guy to put him in this position.

Really, what's the advantage to admitting some fear or weakness that may make us look unattractive. Girls say they want to hear about men's issues and pain and problems, but once they hear about them, it's generally like a cold shower for the woman and she never looks at you the same again.

You may say it's not true, but it is 99% of the time. You will want to know all his secret defects but once you hear them you will be turned off. Leave him to his own thoughts and be glad that he's not lashing out. Everyone deserves some privacy, do you let him see you poop? It's very similar.

PS: Another secret, when we hear about your issues and phobias and compulsions and weaknesses it turns us off too.

Guys are just as sensitive to negative answers as girls. Sometimes they don't want to answer because they don't want the answer to hurt anyone.....so they just keep silent. Try and rephrase the question and see if you get a better response. Better still, sit down and explain why you're asking the question.

Sometimes guys (like a lot of girls) just don't feel like talking about stuff. I for one hate to talk about stuff that bothers me, especially if something happened very recently. Just let them have some time to NOT talk.

I think that alot of guys use silence to answer a question when it is something that bothers them. It is better to not fly off of the handle in my opinion.

In the order you asked the questions:

Probably because the answer's going to get a bad response.

Because you won't like it, or because we don't want to talk about it at the moment.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Hope that helps!

Half the time, we're trying to figure out if it's a trick question. The rest of the time, we're just waiting for you to shut up so we can answer.

silence means a lot of things... approving of in a situation or can later be introduced as an indicator of guilt...an open communication can always bridge a gap.... guys should learn how to cross this one... coz they cannot move on if they left questions unanswered...
