It is so obvious, Jesus said there is only 1 God, and he is only the mediator between man and God, its also means he is only a messenger.. who bring God's revelation..
Jesus said:-
"...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord." Mark 12:29
The great messenger of God, Jesus, says: "And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." John 17:3
In the British newspaper the "Daily News" 25/6/84 under the heading "Shock survey of Anglican Bishops" We read
"More than half of England's Anglican Bishops say that Christians are not obliged to believe that Jesus Christ was God, according to a survey published today. The pole of 31 of England's 39 bishops shows that many of them think that Christ's miracles, the virgin birth and the resurrection might not have happened exactly as described in the Bible. Only 11 of the bishops insisted that Christians must regard Christ as both God and man, while 19 said it was sufficient to regard Jesus as 'God's supreme agent'"

Only Jesus! Only Jesus is the way to Heaven. Only prayers in Jesus' Name can be answered. Only Jesus died for us. Only Jesus paid for all our sins. Only Jesus can save our souls. And on and on and on. Did you know that Jesus is mentioned in the Quoran and the followers of Jesus have a Good Book? So, the man Christ Jesus is the muslim's only way to Heaven. And the Hindus and on and on and on. If you are not saved, read Luke 23, verses 39-43, pray the prayer, get your ticket, get on board, come with us to Heaven! God Bless You!!!!!

Peace!
I sense that you are directing this question to Catholics. Yes, we believe that there is only one mediator between God and men and that is Jesus. The Blessed Mother and the saints of the Church only help us with their prayers. Read Maccabees and the book of Hebrews.

Jesus is like our defense lawyer, Satan is like the prosecutor, the Father is the judge. One of the meanings of Satan is accuser.
When we do or think wrong Satan is quick to point this out, however Jesus is also the one who paid our fine and responds to this accusation with paid in full. Also, just as in the court room there is an order of how things are done, such as the defendant is not allowed to speak to the court directly is go between speaks for him, unless he is defending himself, always a bad idea.

Jesus is the son of God. It is the spirit of God made in the flesh. He came to the world to save mankind and to honor the Father, God. That is why he is the mediator.

It means heresy. Jesus was God on earth, not a mediator.

To me this means that there is only one God and he is the only true God and whenever we pray or come referenced in his presence the only way to get to him is by through the lord Jesus Christ our Saviour and it is the only way, there is no other way.
