I am a Christain and am having an issue in my thoughts. Here on yahoo answers girls are talking about Vibraters, Dildoes, fingering, and things to relive their sexual tensions. I had a thought one day while praying about it, well more like a sign from God. Do You think girls back in bible times had a fancy Vibrator to make them feel better, no they didn't. God says to stay sexually pure for your husband, and that means your future husband too. I belive that means vibrators, dildoes, and even fingers take that pleasure away from your husband. I am only 15 and when I have an erotic though, and belive me i do, I usually PRAY or try to advert my mind on something else and it helps. Do you agree that staying pure means tools are unpure in the eyes of God?

Wow! that a hard moral question. Personally I think that once a person starts playing with sex toys, it wont be long before they try the real thing. If you are a virgin , then dont go there with the toys. Thats my view, but im a guy. I will love to see how some of the women feel about that.

well you're right that there were no vibrators in ancient times.

but believe it or not, there WERE dildos...even in Bible times. archaeologists and anthropolotists have uncovered many ancient dildos in cultures all over the world, including ancient Christian cultures.

if you want to stay a virgin that is fine, but honestly there is no reason not to masturbate (i.e. finger yourself or use a vibrator and dildo).

These things do NOT make you "unpure" for your future husband.
God says nothing about masturbating in the Bible. God is perfectly okay with it. And your future husband honestly will not care that you masturbated before you got married. In fact, he probably hopes that you DID masturbate, because girls who masturbate usually have a much better sense of their own sexuality and womanhood.

Masturbating does NOT take pleasure away from your husband.

Also, you're only 15. There's no reason you should be worrying about how you will please your future husband at this point. You dont owe him anything. You should pay more attention to your own needs. You are #1. Your future husband is #2.

God made sex and sexual pleasure. They're good.

Girls back "in Bible times" had sex before they were married. Read the Song of Songs. It's an erotic love poem between two people who aren't married -- they're only engaged (=betrothed). Really, read it. And think about the fact that it's in the Bible.

Song of Songs 8:14: "Be swift, my lover,
like a gazelle or a young stag
on the mountains of spices!"

Know what the mountains of spices are? The mons pubis. Guess what the "young stag" is going to be doing there.

Masturbation is an essential way to discover your own capacity for pleasure. Masturbating now won't prevent you from enjoying sex later; it will enhance your enjoyment through your own self-knowledge. How else are you going to be able to say "Touch me here, touch me there, do this, do that"?

And if you think *any* male makes it to marriage without having masturbated, you're insane.

It is possible. Monks channel their sexual energy into prayer all the time. I asked my guardian angel for help, and that really worked. I actually became afraid of masturbating all the time because making yourself feel good will become addictive, and you will not be able to get the same pleasure from your partner later, and you will become frustrated.

However, just a warning, turning yourself off makes it really difficult to turn back on again when you find that special someone to share with.

Also, historically speaking, dildos have been found in archeological digs dating back 10,000 years. They were made of wood. (gives new meaning to the term "woodie") lol

People have been people for a very very long time. Our ancestors were no different from us in urges.

Good for you, sweetheart; you are doing the right thing! Save it for your future husband; I sure wish I had. God bless you.

Pretty simple to me. Yes those things are sinful and selfish. Wordly people may not agree, but believe me God does not intend sexual things unless your married. Remember whatever you put into your mind through reading, friends, tv etc.... will feed you mind. I wish I had choosen better at your age. Just because the world says it ok and normal does not mean a thing. Do you want to please the world or God. Save yourself for marriage and you'll be SO happy you did.

Believe me

If God gave you the mind and the body to be a sexual being, why would he want you to deny it?

Sexuality it entirely normal and very natural. Now, you are ARE 15, so you shouldn't be worried about it right now. Worry about it later when you are ready.

But don't look down on sex as something dirty. It is beautiful if you treat it that way. And sex toys don't make it dirty if you don't treat them that way either. There is nothing harmful in them. Some married couples find that it enhances their ability to relate to each other sexually.

But like I said. You are young. Worry about it later. :)

Well for one it is generally accepted that staying pure means staying a virgin, and, although i do not know if this is how god thinks, masterbation is only a small sin, that if your are a catholic can easily be confessed away. But i agree that it is not very good to hear people, strangers talking about those things.

Good for you. However the world standard is different and you can't really do anything with what they do. Being pure doesn't put you above anyone who has done something and are completely repentant about it. But you are better off with your lifestyle in avoiding problems such as STDs, AIDS, unwanted pregnancy, and emotional instability.

YES!! You are to remain pure in mind, spirit and body until your wedding night. You're too young to even be reading about filth like that dear. Don't let any one tell you that being pure is old fashioned, as there's nothing wrong w/that in God's eyes.
