"Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God"
--- The hearing of God's word increases faith.
--- Also, faith is a gift from God.
I think you will also increase in faith the more you obey God and as you behave like He really is real -- talk to Him like He's for real. Since God doesn't want us to be harmed in our consciences, I believe He sometimes gives us more understanding & faith as we become more faithful & obedient to Him. Moses was the meekest man on earth in his day, and the LORD said that the reason HE spoke face to face with Moses, rather than in dreams & visions, was because Moses was faithful in all HIS house.
Now, being obedient is difficult sometimes, due to the call of earthly lusts, treasures & desires. It may help to not be overly caught up with too much of that; however, that in itself won't make you "Mr. great faith." People grow up with various upbringings & influences that often may hinder our faith --- even the unbelief in society and the behaviors & products of our materialistic & unbelieving society are often a hindrance. Escaping some of that may be helpful, but trying to escape it all will also make you less able to be of help to others in this life. A person can prayerfully yield to God in all of this, and over time, he/she can grow in faith. Some aspects of this will take time. You get to a certain point in life where it may seem like nothing much is happening. Then, as you get a deep-seated lesson-learned experience about a matter that has been a problem spot, you may have a surge of faith, since that may have been what was holding you back from going farther with God. All the time in-between wasn't wasted, though, because God was using it to prepare you for after you learned that important lesson, right?

Start by making a list of all the things your gratefull for. They can be people in your life that make u happy, things u own or even stuff like the fact that u can walk down your street without being scared of being shot to death or bombed.
Also check out the beutiful things around you.
a loved ones smile, a gorgeous part of nature, a loyal and loving pet ect.

I don't see the need to have a strong faith in anything. If I were God, I would see right through you. I would not want you to be part of an invented fan club and continually endeavour to kiss my behind. You may only be making Him shake His head in disgust.

"Faith comes by hearing the word of God"
This is the ONLY way to have more faith. Read the bible, go to church, have a church family, learn all you can about God.
Draw close to him and he will draw close to you. Pray.

Don't try to go God, let god come to you.
Don't try to enter god, let god enter you.
There is no need to strenghten your faith,
No need for any effort on your part whatsoever,
When it come to truth, what is, is.
In theological terms then, God simply is. In the Bible, for what it's worth, it says God is 'I am who am',
If you want more than that, it's never enough.
If you think you need to strenghten your faith, perhaps you have no faith at all, and need to reconnect with the real God which exists only in the here and now.
No effort on your part will help you connect with God in the here and now -
In fact, your efforts probably hinder the process of union with God.
Truth, God, are effortless realities.
Let it be, be aware of your surroundings, of your here and now, and that reconnection you seek will happen of itself.
Awareness of what is, is very important, for what is, is God.
Good luck!

well,to get to know anyone you would have to talk to that person. That is the same way with God. You must pray to Him through Jesus' name and pray everyday. This will help you to draw closer to God as a friend. have a nice evening.

Desire as well as 'Faith' is a gift. "..a man can receive nothing, but that it came from above." This scripture that is heard so often, "...faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God..." this is not about hearing sounds with your sense of hearing, but about hearing the voice of your creator 'Jesus" who is 'The Word of God' with the ears of your heart. Some read the Word out-loud to increase faith....as if jumping through that hoop would honor God. "..if indeed you have heard from Him....been taught by Him...they will all be taught of God....", ...".Jesus...who is the author and finisher of our faith..." doesn't an author write/create the story?....One who finishes,...does he not bring to completion? Our God is not a good encourager/cheerleader for man, but a "sovereign creator" who finishes that which he has begun,.....but, in His time...."....not by the will or desire of man, but, by my spirit, says the LORD. these words of truth speak of the Giver of gifts, not of a respecter of persons. I believe the desire for greater faith is good and honorable, and this may be the Lord drawing you to seek after Him. May I share some truth from my heart? This would come from my heart,...Lord, I recognize a desire in me for greater faith...help me to know you more, reveal yourself to me "according to your will" I stumble when i consider all the different doctrines and beliefs concerning you and your ways...if you are my creator, and I am created for your purposes, and your pleasure, then give me the grace to lay everything at your feet, trusting that you will "....give unto every man according to what his works shall be" believing this, that i cannot create nor earn faith and "...'in Him', Jesus(who is the Christ/Messiah) I am complete." soooo, much to share, and so little time! "...salvation is...knowing the Father and the Son..." Please understand these things I've shared are burned in my heart, I understand that many will disagree: as I am maturing as a Christian I confess that this difference is O.K. with me, I respect your right to your beliefs, after all, aren't we all trying to find our way?
