if someone is being re-housed by the police because they have been getting trouble and serious death threats can that person tell them they don't wanna move? Surely they can't be forced to move out of the area if they don't want to? They wanted to move in the beginning, the police have been searchin for a suitable place for a month or so, is it possible to phone up and say they no longer want to go? The reason would be a very good job oportunity.

If the police are actually helping someone move to protect them, There is a huge reason to move. The police would only do that if there was a serious chance of harm.

Yes a person in the US can refuse help but I bet the person is too young and naive to know what is best. A new job can be found anywhere. Serious injury and even death will follow them forever.

It is time to move.

Its up to yourself weither you want to move or not. Just tell the person handling the case you have changed your mind. i wouldnt bother though because a job isnt worth risking your life over. there will be other jobs at a later stage. maybe a move from the area would keep you out of trouble in the future. learn from your mistakes dont brush them under the carpet.

They are trying to protect you and you are throwing their protection away? Just give them a call and tell them you are not moving. Sure hope the good job is worth your life.
