The best way to go about this is to quiet your mind, know yourself deeply and be at peace with yourself and who you are. If you are comfortable with that then there is no reason why you cant be peaceful at death.

Nope.
Death is relatively random ... cancer, automobile accidents, heart attacks ... etc.
What you can do is live to be ready for death when it happens.
You can live an honest upright life, true to whatever faith you have. You can have a living will prepared so that should you become incapacitated, your wishes are known. You can have life insurance so that your final expenses are met. Being ready for death gives you peace of mind in the event that it touches you when you aren't expecting it.

Well, unless you commit suicide you can't really pick the way you die. Some people go quick and painless. Some die a slow painful death. It's just depends on what kills you. So my answer would be no...you can live healthy and hope to not get any cancers or heart problems, but we ALL will die of something.

Well, no but maybe.
I heard a man in the hospital last week dieing from lung cancer. Very very painful awful way to die. So don't smoke.
My mother didn't take care of herself at all so now she's in a nursing home because of strokes. She smoked, drank, never exercised ever.
My plan is to keep my body as healthy as possible. Eating better lately, exercising etc. But there are never any guarantees.

You can meditate to calm your brain and mind. One example was that Monk who set himself alight in protest. He sat there looking serene and not feeling the flames.
I'm sure it would take a lot of practise but it is possible.

Live a good life, do the best you can, sort out your own mind, with education, understand yourself by reading philosophy and psychology. Avoid religion.
