We are humanity... every one of us. Feeling sorry for ourselves does absolutely no good. However, taking action for a change is how we can improve humanity. It does not matter what religion, political affiliation, or other background a person comes from, each one of us can start making a difference by just acting a certain way. It can be infectious. A key point that many many people forget is that we cannot control the actions of others, only what we do. The basic rule is and has been, treat people how you want to be treated.

Humanity will always have challenges. Every great things in life does, and I beleive that we are definately being challenged in this time of life. Again - people need to accept the challenge. A few more of my humble thoughts, which hopefully could be viewed as ways to improve humanity:

1) A person who violates a child.... should have NO rights. Sorry. Gone. He or she who takes the innocense of the purest form of humanity is sickening and deserves to not be a part of humanity.

2) A person who intentionally takes the life of a another person.... should have no rights. Life is a once-in-forever opportunity (unless you believe in re-incarnation), so why should any individual be allowed to end another indviidual's life without the utmost consequences.

3) If people would stop voting for political affiliation and vote based on common decency, ethics, and for candidates who truly can work for the betterment of their states / countries / etc.... things would be better.

4) Don't fly in a prop-driven airplane.... there is just no reason to experience that one. LOL - A little humor. Humor is needed. People need to lighten up.

5) If a person or country intends to harm you, your family, or your country..... do not allow this to happen. You have 100% rights to stand up for yourself.

6) People need discipline. Spending habits, eating habits, etc... can be the root of many problems. Self-discipline can and will help address these issues. No fad diets ~ the push away diet. no overly rediculaous credit card debts ~ pay with cash. No government regulations on gambling ~ police that yourself.

Long response. Sorry. Could be longer. Very important subject to me, and this question hits me square between the eyes.

I feel sorry for specific people, and I despise a few of them. But as a whole? Nope. We are at the highest point that humanity has ever been, and there's nowhere to go but up.

If you feel sorry for us now, does that mean that you'd rather live at some other time in the past? Maybe 100 years ago. Only you better hope that you don't get something as simple as a cavity. The common treatment was probably removing the tooth.

Without anesthesia.

Maybe 200 years ago? Say, shortly after George Washington stepped down from office? Wow, a pretty romantic time, eh? A new government forming and finding its legs, ready to spread its wings? Oops - wait - slavery was legal, and women couldn't even vote. Hmm - are you a white male? You'd still be pretty low on the totem pole if you weren't at least a landowner. Well, you could always strike out a few miles west, homestead some land and farm it. It's backbreaking work, though - no internal combustion means no tractors. Ever build even a lean-to shelter in the woods for Boy Scouts? That's about all you'd have to live in for the first year.

Maybe 400 years ago would suit you better? You'd probably be in Europe - home of western civilization, in the midst of the culture we read about. Arts, music, painting, dance, plays, opera, disease...

Remember the Plague? Something like 20% of the population of Europe died in those 5 years.

Still want to give up on the present? By all means, go for it. Maybe cryogenics will save you. Go have your head cut off and frozen. You can have your whole body done if you can afford it. But I'm guessing that might be out of the question. So you have to hope that a head transplant will be possible. I bet it will be some day - they're doing organs and hands and even faces now - why not a head?

If the cryogenics lab doesn't have a power failure. Or a fire. Or an employee doesn't get mad or drunk or stoned, and lets your head thaw. Or they don't go bankrupt. Or a fundamentalist government doesn't come to power and decree that you're already dead, so you shouldn't be hoping to come back to life. Or a massive depression comes along and wipes out the infrastructure you'll need to get thawed and transplanted and resuscitated, or global warming makes it just uneconomical to keep you at -200 degrees. Lots of ifs here, too.

Me? I like it here....

Yes. Humanity is falling since long long ago, a little time after is was created. There is one way of restablishing it, though. It's called reconciliation with The Creator, Who has done everything He could to regain His children from the slavery they are living.

Life is wonderful, mysterious and full of thrill but there are millions who cannot enjoy this wonderful creation. It is full of miseries, joy and happiness.I feel sorry for the unfortunate ones.. some are man made and others due to defective genes or due to circumstances. At the same time there are human(inhuman) beings who bring untold suffering to others.. I mean brutal killings.. sexual harassment.. cruelty and so on..,,

Sometimes, especially when some do not think the world is big enough for everyone to live peacefully. What is up with Al Kida & such wanting to bring down Western Civilization? They live clear across an ocean & think we are such a problem that they cannot just live in their own country & let us live in ours...
Kinda scared for humanity... some just don't want (or can't for whatever reason) to put malice aside & live & let live!

I don't feel sorry for it. I'm more disqusted by it. The human race is destroying the Earth and killing each other off, and one day will inevitably become extinct. Don't get me wrong--we are an amazing species, have accomplished mind-boggling things, but still...

I pretty much blame humanity for the predicament we're in. I mean, we are supposedly the most intelligent species on this planet ever, yet we have behaved stupidly.

I do not feel sorry for humanity - not even a little.

we all know what is wrong and what is right, but we just continue to screw each other over and over again. hurting each other knowingly Except for mother Theresa ,we are all guilty.

yeah.....every day

but there are some bright spots...there are some people who are trying to do good. we just need more people like them.

most people are not bad. it is the few bad ones out there (the greedy capitalist pigs who exploit the world's poor) who make things bad for the rest of us

People make their own choices. I feel Gods pain. I feel the pain and suffering of the innocent. I get angry at sin.
