Blaming either is a cop-out. People need to blame THEMSELVES when things go wrong.

If you created a robot that you knew would destroy things and only you were powerful enough to stop it who's fault is the destruction the robot causes, yours or the robots?
Well if God created everything including satan, God is then responsible for satan's actions as well. Plus God is seen to be more powerful than satan, so he is also responsible for allowing satans actions to happen. No matter how you cut it, it's God's fault.

Because they want God to be looking out for them, protecting them against bad things (including Satan). By blaming God they are absolving themselves of any wrong-doing so that they may go on their merry way convinced they're doing everything right.

I think it's because God is supposed to be more powerful, we pray to Him not satan. We are in relationship with Him. Wait until you trust Him for something, do what's right, but everything goes really wrong. It's not that easy just to attribute it to satan.

Blaming Satan is just as bad as blaming God, it doesn't matter, if you do something and its your fault, you have no one to blame.

I think that question comes down to how you bill God. If God is omnipotent you have a problem. Either God is powerless to stop evil from happening, in which case God is not omnipotent. Or, God is evil and can stop evil from happening to innocents such as children, but will do nothing to stop it. So the problem either way, if you believe in an omnipotent God, lies in Gods hands. Now if you were to just change the criteria for your God, it get's easier to understand.

becasue christianity has taught people that god does good and satan does bad so when things are bad they blame god for letting satan win and make thier lives difficult when they've been led to believe he will make it all better

because they think that if God isn't keeping harm from them that he is doing it. Satan hides blindly, but they will see someday that God was there with them, and satan held all the blame.

A better question would be. Why don't they blame themselves? The devil made me do it or the devil did it is the oldest and lamest excuse. To blame God is ridiculous as He wants the best for us, but we won't let Him give it to us. He is a perfect gentlemen and doesn't force Himself on anyone.

Because God is Management, Satan is just a shop steward, and therfore labor. Management is responsible for all decisions in the end.
