Why Are So Many Against Christianity?

I've looked at what people have to say about Jesus on this website, and I just wanna ask, "How can you say such terrible things, about Jesus, the one who will love you more than anything else. People say Christianity tells them that they are sinful creatures who deserve hell, that's a misunderstanding. It tells you that you sin, but when you accept Jesus, You are forgiven and will be saved from hell. I wanna know, why do you people think Evolution is so much more logical than Christianity. No you can't prove Christianity, but faith is somethiong you beleive that you can't prove.

I was raised in a christian household,and went to church 3 times a week southern baptist, in high school there was a report that i had to do, not much interested in school, but this paticular topic was picked for me by my teacher, and was a big portion of my grade it was titled creationism contraversy, darwinism versus christianity, this sparked an interest, i researched the darwin theory heavily and was spending weekend and evenings in the library and on the computer also digging through reports and actual facts, hard pieces of evidence, and i knew the bible like the back of my hand, read it cover to cover and even to this day can tell you quotes from all the books, which i have memorized from it being drilled into my brain, after careful research talks with the pastor, I have personally tried to prove evolution and that we came from a single celled organism was a fake and wrong for that i wanted so much to believe that god and the bible was true and real and that there was something more, but the reality of it all is that the only thing that the bible was is a great historical book, yes jesus christ did live and yes mary magdelan was his mother, but nothing else can be proven, nothing yes there was an ark and it was found on top of mt ararat,but amongst the billions of creatures that rome the planet it would be physically impossible for them to fit into the ark even if they were all the size of a kitten, physics wont allow it, but as far as the historical evidence of different stages of evolution, its black and white, its all there in thousands of museums all over the world, there is no possible way to debunk that, the bible can be picked apart and every piece of evidence, that exist but its all done using beliefs and what others have said, and not based on factual evidence, my personal opinion is that mary got pregnant and was scared to admit to her parents that she had sex and was pregnant so she dreamed up this brilliant plan of divine intervention, and it worked and got so exagerated that some foolish people bought into it and then it just became what it is today, I am not hateful and dont misbehave and dont bash on god, because a little piece of me wants it to be real, but thats when common sense takes over, the bottom line is that there isnt a single, not one piece of hard evidence that proves religion, just exagerated claims, it was also said to be dreamt up for crowd control take your pick

I think some are more against those who are using Christianity as a weapon to try and hurt those who don't believe as Christians do. Because some of us don't believe in God or share the same Christian ideals, they are told by Christians that they are wicked and wrong. But who here has proof that there is a God and not an Allah, or Buddha or Goddess? Just because people have different beliefs they should not be labeled as evil. And that seems to be a favorite tool of some Christians.

You know something Suzy? The reason why these people are so ignorant is because they don't want to hear the truth about G-d!! THESE PEOPLE ONE DAY ARE GOING TO WISH THEY HAVE G-d (Jesus) BY THEIR SIDE ONE DAY!! All these people are caught up on cyborg things, MTV, TERRORISM ,MONEY etc, also there ain't no hope for them. People are so independent now that they don;t wanna hear sh-t that they are going to hell bad enough everyone WILL DIE ONE DAY SOON AND THAT"S A FACT YOU CAN"T HIDE. But I can guaranty you something, If something happens to them or a family member, They wont stop mentioning G-d or Jesus, Hashem!! And to be by their side and not leave (you know promises that they will break when they get their health again).They will call G-d To help them and not let things happened to them! Why is it so hard for you to understand that not everyone believes what is written in a self-contradictory text designed to offer moral/spiritual guidance to a bunch of Middle Eastern goat herders who lived hundreds of years ago?

There is not one shred of contemporary evidence that Jesus as a person ever existed.

And you need to understand the definition of the word theory in a scientific context. By that definition, evolution is as near a fact as is that the Earth revolves around the Sun (also still considered a scientific theory).

In short, now would be a good time to start thinking for yourself.

1. "P" must be true
2. I believe "P" to be true...
3. I must be able to prove "P" is true

What is true to you may not be true to me. In order to have faith you have to believe in God, and to believe in God you have to have faith. You make it sound like accepting Jesus is as easy as choosing a salad dressing. Did you ever think that it might be difficult to believe in something that doesnt sound possible to you?

Nothing makes me sicker than seeing someone tell you that they love Christ and then go out and cheat on their wife, lie to a neighbor, have premartial sex and are just bad people. You are not Christian just because you say you are and I will not lie and say that I am Christian unless I give myself 100% to Jesus and I find it hard to accept something like creation when Evolution is more obvious to me.

Somebody somewhere will always disagree with you. Its just a part of life. So you can accept that you believe in Jesus and live whatever life you want and pray for those who dont. Why does it affect your spirituality if I choose not to believe?

Cuz it's a load of crap, no offence. But the some people don't want to be controlled by the bible, somepeople actually want to be free. and you already have your answer "No you can't prove Christianity, but faith is somethiong you beleive that you can't prove." People need PROOF to believe, you cant just believe in something, atleast I cant. Plus most christians are close minded people, and don't care bout new ideas.

Because the devil is against Christ as he knows that the only way to get to heaven is thru Christ who paid the price for our sins, so he will do anything to cause as many people as possible to renounce Christ. The mind and spirit are the ones targeted by the devil so that people do not accept the price paid for their sins. Its like being in a courtroom for commiting some crime - you must pay for it the judge cannot forgive you for commiting the crime because then he/she wouldn't be a good judge. You have to pay the price. NOw say someone comes and tells the judge, let him go, I want to pay the price for him. And you as the criminal say, no I don't trust you I don't like you don't pay the price for me. Or say No I dont accept the price you paid for me I wanna pay it by myself. If you're an idiot you will do that. See Jesus padi the price which required his blood. Now its our choice to accept it. If we don't, we'll pay it ourselves by being eternally apart from God, the creator. Its simple, but people have a hard time believing b/c sin is more precious.

Most people are cowards and can't look themselves in the mirror and take the blame for their own actions or mistakes. They also don't want to believe in something that may tell them their lifestyle is wrong and they may have to change. They would rather blame someone else than admit they might be wrong.

I think its more the catholic church, the largest private land owner in the world. the largest corporation in the world. I seen it once stated that if the catholic church paid taxes on the land it own in the U.S. no citizens would have to pay tax. They are the largest art owner in the world. No one knows exactly how much they have in holdings in gold and silver. I read that the biggest fear with the priest child molesters was that how much they were losing in donations everyweek due to it. Then there is the rest of us bums who pay our fair share and no ones 'gives' us money

Your religion will fall in time and it will be replaced with a updated version of Jesus 2.0 and so on and so on. I don't like the fact that most christians try and push their belief on everyone else.
