Sure you can because the software is separate from the camera. The software is loaded on the computer.

Definitely. Like the previous answer says, you can access the camera as if it were a drive on your computer. I tried Picture Project and didn't like it... too much baggage and not enough added functionality to make it worth using. You can just as easily use standard image viewing software like ACDSee or Picassa.

Yes. You don't really have to "install" it per se.
Just connect it via USB port. Windows will recognize it as a flash drive and you can access it from Explorer.
