well if someone who had the dogs before you or someone that you know that has asthma and they let the dogs lick their toes then that will take the asthma from that person and give it to the dog. that's what happened to my 4 of my chihauhuas.

It might be a collapsing trachea - Do they wear a harness ? If YES: you are killing them with a regular necklace ! - Get a harness.

When they do that, you need to calm them down.

You can also add to their food some " Glucosamine Chroitodoine " just a little, it will help the bones in the trachea to get better.

Could be other things, like an allergy...but I doubt

I have five chihuahuas that do that all the time, more when they get excited. It's called Reverse Sneezing, and it's perfectly normal. It does sound real scary, I know. What you can do when that happens, is lightly rub their throat, and it will go away. It's very common in small breeds. Don't worry!

if your dog is having any troube breathing take them to the vet. it might be nothing but you're not going to know for sure until a veterinarian exams the dogs.

WE HAD A CHIHUAHUA , THE VET CALLED IT A BACKWARDS SNEEZE , IT ALMOST SOUNDS ASTHMA , WHICH I DOUBT YOUR DOGGY HAS , BUT IT WOULDN'T HURT TO GET THEM CHECKED OUT AT THE VETS , ALSO, IT COULD BE FUR BALLS IN ITS THROAT TOO , I DO NOT THINK ITS ANYTHING REALLY SERIOUS
