Some primates have been known to kill just for the thrill of it, this includes their siblings parents and others of the species and outside the species as well. Dolphins, preform coitus for the pleasure and not always for the act of procreation. Having the higher brain functions makes the Human being a very unique creature and would in someways contribute to the evilness of our being. However it is Gods desire that we Choose not to be this way that is why he gave us such an developed conscience along with the reasoning abilities of our brain.

First off, animals do kill their children and so forth but they don't have a soul. Man has a soul with a conscience. Evil is evil because the soul has decided to commit a terrible thin like killing their own children and so forth while knowing somewhere on the inside of them that it is wrong. The worst is if they actually enjoy the evil deed. But the source of all evil is Satan but his only power is the tempt man. Man just has to make up in his or her mind that God is the creator of all, Jesus is Lord, He has defeated Satan, that people don't have to do anything they know is wrong, and that they can fully trust God to help them to overcome temptation and make them strong against him.

thats true actually. but that is only to the people who really want t ruin their lives. But there is one thing. some religions care more than others. for example, the religion that i have recently converted to is islam. and i really find it a peaceful religion. and it is against everything about murdering. its a sin in islam to even torture an animal. so i prefer this religion. it gives the true happiness. i feel really good. you should go check on it.... a hadith(a saying that Prophet Muhammad has said) that i have been writing to a lot of places is this:
"Beware! Whoever is cruel and hard on a non-muslim minority, curtails their rights, burdens them with more than they can bear, I(Prophet Muhammad) will complain against the person on the Day of Judgement."(Abu Dawud)
Hope this helps. :) i know i kinda went a lil religous here sorry

Yes we humans can be evil and can be saints.
Some animals do kill their own kind, for example lions kill all the cubs of a pride after a younger lion chases away the pride's alpha. Or how about seals who refuse to feed orphans, thereby condemning the babies to death?

God didn't make us silly goose, we evolved from microscopic organisms over the process of millions of years. We figured out being evil works when we were simplistic homo sapians and it gets us what we want, I mean look at humans today. The US government is evil (I mean, Chaeney should have his picture next to evil in the dictionary.) The ruler or Iraq, who was recently executed, was successful being evil for 30 plus years, and Barry Bonds is in close persuit of the greatest reccord in baseball. Being evil works!

now you are catching on....
man is born with an evil nature and some choose to feed that nature which results in the acts you describe.
the term "being born again" describes what happens when God removes that evil nature and replaces it with one more pleasing to Him.
It is each man's choice to make:
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

I believe that out of all God's creation, mankind is the only one that has a God consciousness. Genesis speaks of God creating man in His own image, with a mind to know evil from good.

Not evil by nature, but some individuals desire destruction and to me that is the definition of evil. This does not occur in the animal kingdom.----An animal killing its young is not evil, nor does it suffer any guilt. They follow a different logic.

Absolutely Not...If anything, humans are the most honored as we are the only creatures created in God's image, and He created us perfectly as such.
However, what He gave us also, is a free will...when one commits such attrosities, it is not because they are evil by nature or by creation, but have chosen to excercise evil deeds as opposed to doing good, which is what they were originally designed to do.
I suppose it all depends on what your view of eveil vs good is...from a Christian perspective, 'evil' is not an entity as such, or a created being, but rather that lack of presence of goodness.
For example, just like light and darkness....Darkness is not an entity as such, but rather a lack of presance of light, because as soon as you light a tiny candle in a dark room, darkness has no longer any exitance.
similarly with good and evil...If I have God and His good-willing Holy Spirit dwelling with me and I chose to abide with Him, I cannot do such evil. It is when I walk away from the light and the real source of goodness, is when I chose to do such evil.
I hope this helps...God bless!

The only place that good or evil lays is within a person, it is what comes from a person towards the rest of the world that is either good or evil.
