That we all came from something out of nothing? That's the Big Bang theory. We don't all believe that. (In fact... I'm not even sure if the BB theory is that at all).

Atheists only have the lack of belief in a god or gods. That's it!

Some of us believe in abiogenesis (the origin of life); some in Evolution (the origin of species); etc.

Because some Christians have been brainwashed by their pastors (who I'm sure don't have degrees in any field of science) or whomever to believe the Bible is literal truth. Couple that with a lack of decent scientific education and willful ignorance, and you've got your garden-variety Creationist. You can spot them because they can't tell the difference between abiogenesis and natural selection and constantly speak in non-scientific terms, such as "Evolutionist", and "kinds".

The Big Bang theory does not say that something came out of nothing.

The origin of the universe, the origin of life, and evolution are all separate subjects, and I my perspective regarding each has been determined in part by my atheism.

I just let everyone believe what they want. My problem is when people who aren't Christian refer to every Christian as we are so judgemental, and then people who make fun of our religion. I may not be a saint, but I'm a strong believer in God. And I don't discriminate against anyone's religion and it's annoying to hear all these insults being thrown at us for believing what we want. It's not all of us who are judgemental and try to force our religion on people who don't believe it. Also, we are forced to listen to what we don't believe all the time. We can't pray in schools. We've been tought the big bang theory back in high school. Not just on here, but people I run into talk about how we evolved from apes, and that cave man were the first people on earth and we evolved from them. To me it's to each is own.

Just remember, when you use the verb "to believe", you are implying that you profess something unproven now and that will remain forever unproven.
Believing, therefore, means absolutely nothing.
You can believe in anything you want.

There are some loud-mouthed, closed-minded Christians who don't think it's wrong to spread falsehoods in the name of their religion.

I think you'll find it's theists who believe that something came from nothing (God). Either that or it always existed (God). Apparently now they've bagged those answers for themselves, no-one else is allowed to use them.

Typical.
