I just posted something on this subject just a few days ago.
I'll post a little part of it:

When someone is near death, they are still alive and capable of having dreams, and due to their situation they are getting the endorphins to their brain in reaction to pain to the nervous system of having no oxygen. So the dream they have, the brain knowing it's dying, is even more dramatic from being high off of endorphins so the dream is really trippy and can be "life changing", especially to people that don't know any better. Another example is people throughout history (in all religions) took psychedelic drugs and had religious epiphanies and hallucinations, also adding their experiences to their lore and myths. The brain acts strange in strange situations, psychedelic hallucinations are the same thing that's going on in a near death experience except it's happening while in a dream.

We have no way of knowing what everyone has experienced who have died and come back. Kiebler Ross (Spelling) did a lot of research on this years ago and there are more recent studies.
Everyone does have a life-after-death experience. It is our meeting with God. Not everyone comes back to share their experiences.

some wouldnt admit to it even if they did ...
i know a few people like that
but not everyone does have these experiences though .. i admit
who knows why this is ... maybe you do have to be open to the possibility before the possibility is made open to you
