On top of the getting into college (academy or ROTC doesn't matter) or OCS if you already have a 4-year degree, you should get a private pilots license before you report to flight school. Selection for aircraft type is based on class standing from basic flight school. If you are number one, you will get your choice. Historically, people with flying experience prior to basic flight school do the best. I am not sure if you have to get hours in another air frame (f15 or f16) before they will let you fly a raptor.

There is NOT an easist way to become a F22 Raptor pilot
in the US Air Force!!!!
1. Graduate from High School with very high scores.
2. Be accepted into the US Air Force Academy by your US
Representative to Congress.
3. Talk to a US Air Force Recruiter about this dream that you have and they may be able to give better information on what you can do.

You're in for a lot of very difficult competition! If you want to be a jet pilot, you've got to be cocky enough to know you're the best of the best. You can start with a good degree through AF ROTC and go from there. There's nothing easy about becoming any type of military pilot much less an F-22. You may have to work your way up the chain first. Those pilots are usually picked from a group of the best that have thousands of flight hours already and combat time. Also be ready to devote a lot of time to the military. You're going to be deployed most of the year every year and will have very little time for friends and family.
