Hi, I think i can help you with your back hurting you. Fist I know you claimed that you don't have any money but, that's OK not everyone has that kinda money to lay out just like that. Soooo.... I'm sure you can get a Peace of plywood or 1x6 or 1x8's right? Anyway, first measure your bed (length and width) example if your bed measures 4x8 you can use a full sheet of plywood ($20) or you can cut the other woods to length. Remove your top mattress then place the wood on the top of the box spring making sure that it covers the area even and complete. If your using the 1x's make sure that you place them together tight and not let them separate in the future. Place the mattress back on top again and i can guarantee that your back will never bulged down or bend in the middle. It may take a little while to get used to this pattern and it might bother you, but, on the long run it is healthy for you back to remain straight as possible. You don't want sclerosis. I saw it on Discovery people really suffer with it and it's not a joke!! Sweet dreams!!

I've had lower back pain for most of my life and mornings are the worst time. I was able to 'fix' my bed by putting a memory foam topper on my mattress and using a contour pillow. These are both relatively inexpensive purchases that I cannot do without. However, this is not a cure all. Regular stretching helps more than anything. Becoming increasingly aware of lying on your side or back, not on your stomach, will help as well.

I started having lower back pain and thought it was the bed or not sure what it was then realize that it was a new exercize that I was doing instead. I"m not old either and I get lower back/hip pain as well.

They have inflatable matresses or you could try putting blankets and comforter on the floor and sleep on that and see if that helps. If not, it may be more serious. For neck or back pain see site below.

Try turning your mattress over about once a month. You will notice an improvement immediately!
