Does that mean she is not getting enough oxygen, or does it mean shes geting to much?
or what does it mean?

Usually when the skin goes purple or blue you are not getting enough blood flow to that particular spot.

I don't think it is possible to have too much oxygen :P I could be totally wrong though.

blueish purple is not enough oxygen saturation. check the beds of her nails and toes and see if they are the same color. make her an appt. usually they will put a pulse ox on her finger it should be 95-100

why on earth would you ask medical advice on here instead of calling a hospital e.r. for advice if you thought it was an emergency. It's not like you are asking what to do about a pimple. Doesn't matter if she is talking or not. My MOM was talking to me before she went to bed about 2 yrs. ago too and I found her dead in bed in the morning. CALL NOW>>>>>

if this just happened..take her to the ER, but if she has an ongoing problem, it may be a circulation problem or a disease many older people get...the blood vessels in the face braek causing the face to turn red or purplish. Either way see a doctor

It certainly sounds to me as if she is not getting enough oxygen. I highly suggest you get her to a hospital ASAP!
