Red. See examples in the North Dakota flag ...
The specific shade of red is define as Pantone 186. See the Pantone color codes in the link below. The letters "Ex" in the logo FedEx are Pantone 186 for example. The Pantone standard becomes an easy way to define specific colors for painting and printing.

Beautiful colour choice (I was Burgandy myself!) Depends the 'look' you are going for. If you are looking for the crimson to be THE focus colour then choose something light like cream, or even in the case of flowers light yellow. This would create a simple yet effective and striking look, very elegant. And stick to simple flowers and simple shapes and lines - roses are ALWAYS good, but if you want to try something different: consider Calla Lillies. You don't say what colour your dress is, but I'll assume white or cream, in which case I would use that as the base colour and use the crimson as highlights. Red flowers are plentiful so pick something you like the look of. If the dress is Crimson then I would keep things pale on the bouquet as you don't want it to be lost against the dress, this theme is about select highlights being seen. Moving the theme to the tables consider using the same flowers there as your flower girls or bridesmaids flowers - keep the special ones in your bouquet and table! As it is an Autumnal time you could go more along those lines in which case perhaps choose a slightly darker shade of red and incorporate oranges and golds. This can create a more striking overall effect and also leaves the door open to be creative with decorations, pumpkins or dried leaves - be careful you don't get too carried away and it turns a bit 'Harvest Festival'. Your bouquet here can keep up the Autumn theme, go for the same sorts of colours, reds, oranges or golds. If you are going for a more "overall" effect I would suggest that the flowers in your bouquet needn't stand out (if your dress is crimson) as its the overall effect you want not highlighted areas! And as other decorations consider Helium Balloons!! I go on about these, but we had them and they looked great and where A LOT cheaper than flowers, we got them in our colour scheme and just tied 5 together at different heights (up to about 8 feet) and attached to a little weight - ta daaa pillar of balloons. If there are kids at your wedding these also went down a treat - if you don't mind them being a bit ransacked by the end of the night - and parents don't mind cars full of balloons going home! Got some great pictures of the kids in amongst the balloons too!
