Love the answers from the religious believers, especially that Jesse (very Christian of you, see you are following your religion and God's message closely). Love the fact that Christians think that they can save you if you repent and join Jesus. I have one thing to say to them, we can save Christians if they stop hanging onto their children's stories and myths. Use your brain and save yourself and look at how childish you are.
Oh and the answer to your question is I think that there is a higher success rate on the wishing on a star, than praying. About 95% for the star, 5% for praying, however that estimate for prayer could be a little bit high.

"I've begun worshipping the Sun for a number of reasons. First of all, unlike some other gods I could mention, I can see the Sun. It's there for me every day. And the things it brings me are quite apparent all the time: heat, light, food, a lovely day. There's no mystery, no one asks for money, I don't have to dress up, and there's no boring pageantry. And interestingly enough, I have found that the prayers I offer to the sun and the prayers I formerly offered to God are all answered at about the same 50-percent rate."

The success rate for a blaspheming infidel going to hell is 100 percent, so repent and turn to Christ before it is too late.

Wishing on a star always works sometimes, but praying only works all of the time.
