So, I have this clear, glass, thick, goblet type cup. Trouble is, I need to paint it black somehow. Anyone have any ideas on what paint to use? I need it to be permanent and water proof. No peeling or washing off. PERMANENT. Thanks.

Use waterproofing and primer. Here's what to do:

1. Put waterproofing on the glass so that the paint will stick. You can find it in any craft store.
2. Prime it with a special primer just for glass.(two coats).
3. Mix the paint with a little bit of same color dye. Do not use too much of the dye, it might change the color or consistency of the paint itself. This is what makes the painted surface smooth.
4. Evenly paint about 3 to 6 coats, making sure the paint on the one layer dries before painting over it. Paint in smooth strokes.

TIPS
* As you paint, watch that bubbles are not forming, or you will have a bumpy surface
* You can buy decorative decals to place on the glasses if you are painting a solid color.
* You can find, in a Craft Store, books on how to paint and decorate glass. There is a special section where they also sell special brushes just for glass painting.
* One Stroke Painting directions, and material you will need can be found in any Craft Store.

WARNINGS
* Make sure you mix the paint mixture so it is not too thick a consistency. Too thick and you will ruin the painted surface.
* Clean your brushes before you change colors
