An equivalent to a 'subject' in school is a 'field of study,' which refers to a specific realm of academia. When you are taking a field trip, you are going somewhere relevant to a specific subject. A trip to the zoo is related to the field of biology, a trip to the symphony is related to music, a trip to the museum is related to the field of art/history. In the same way, if you're doing a field study, you're conducting data related to a certain field.

I was in grade school in the 60's and literally every field trip we went on was to a "field." we had to collect butterflies and rocks,etc.

Field refers to a vast area, , and the term is a universal word meaning, anyplace you want it to be, and a trip, refers to the adventure, involved in going to the "said"place.

Or I'm going on a Glen Trip or I'm going on a Forest Trip etc.

They have been initially designed to be container be taught parts of school. now and lower back the be taught area of the holiday is lacking, that makes them much less powerful to coaching. regardless of if in case you are able to nicely be taught something of value from the holiday, many could evaluate it a fulfillment.
