No, it is an offering to you and no cat thinks their people are gods. They think they are the gods.

Isn't it amazing that animals have hearts? They have their own little way of showing affection. Your cat is communicating its love for its master, although the kitty has few different choices to show it. Maybe just accept the gift in front of the beast, and quickly discard it behind your pet's back.

It's their way of giving you a little present. Not that we want a dead animal at our doorstep, but they don't know that. They're showing how much they love you.
