God doesn't usually answer cries like that in the way you think. Many people expect him to answer with a crack of lightening, a diving finger in the sand, or something else like that, when they cry out for help because that is what happened with people in the Bible. God reveals Himself in the small things--in a baby's smile, in the intricacies of a delicate flower, in the love between a man and a woman, in the laughter of an elderly person, in a good book, in the best friend who you haven't seen in years who you just saw the other day, in people in your life who you don't recognize as a tool of God yet.
I have cried out to God on a number of occasions (I have not led a very easy life). Right now I am reminded of a more trivial time right now: I was trying to go to sleep but the smoke alarm kept beeping as the battery was low. I tried to close my eyes and shut the annoying "beep.......beep.......beep" out of my consciousness, but it wasn't working. Finally I begged, "Please God, I haven't been sleeping well lately--will you please make the smoke alarm quit beeping!" After a few more minutes, I couldn't take it anymore. Standing on a chair, I pulled the battery out of the alarm, effectively silencing the beep. As I crawled back into bed and drifted off, I realized that God had indeed answered my prayer, just not in the way I expected Him to. I expected Him to just make it quit beeping, but He showed me that sometimes He expects us to help Him answer our prayers by making me get out of bed and turn it off myself. The alarm did quit beeping, just as I had asked, but it got that way in an unexpected manner.

Never give up on God, as he never gives up on you. If you want, you can email me at miraclewhippeanutbutter@yahoo.com. God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers.

I'm taking your question differently than others.
I know I can not see God, I know it doesn't work, but I have felt like crying out show me what am I here for come and tell me why you saved my life. "If only I could what a feeling"
I know the answer is inside me I just ask help guide me in my jumbled up self

No, it doesn't work that way. When you are least expecting it my friend, that's when it happens. He does these things on His own time, and in His own way. I know for a fact that all the pleading in the world won't hurry Him along. Just let Him dwell within your heart and you'll soon see Him everywhere.

I have, didn't work. Also did it in a hurricane, no response. Did it while I was being attacked, god did not help at all.

If everything is OK, trust me, you'll never want to call out God loud.

Nope; but it does when you're in the valley of the shadow of death. He walks through it with you. I'm in there now.
