I am more concerned that any Chaplain would obey it.

Yeah, I know. What is next? Can't pray to the Great Spirit because someone might be bothered by it... For Pete's sake, they are Christians, and as Christians, should be allowed to pray to God however they want to. There are other types of Chaplans out there, let the military hire more of them if there aren't enough to go around.

Wow--what Christian chaplains are being told they can't pray in the name of Jesus? I mean, if they're just being told that they can't do it, say, over a school loudspeaker, then that's an issue of separation of Church and State. But in otherwise religious situations? Of *course* they should be able to pray in the name of Jesus!

Never heard that one. Maybe you should check it out at Snopes.com Nobody in the military has mentioned it to me.
It might happen if the service was all inclusive, a chance for Christians, Pagans, Mormons, Jews, Muslims to pray before a battle or something like that.

Wrong, they are not being told that they can not "pray in Jesus name for any reason", they are being not to do do so when they are giving a general service for people of differing faiths, you are incorrect.
If they don't want to properly minister to people of multiple faiths, they should resign as a chaplain.

That sounds a little silly for Christian chaplans to not do that. Who is telling them they can't?

They shouldn't. Nor should any Muslim member of Congress be told he can't swear in on a copy of the Qur'an. Or any person of any religion be told they can't pray in their own fashion.
