After.
The Book of Mormon was written, as was the bible, by many ancient prophets and men called of God. The first Book of Mormon prophet, named Lehi, left Jerusalem about 600 B.C. (around the time of Jeremiah of the O.T.). With his family, he successfully traveled to the American continent. His descendent's are the primary authors of the Book of Mormon. All the prophets in the Book taught of Christ, even that he would visit them personally after his ministry, death, and resurrection in Jerusalem. After Jesus' resurrection and ascension to heaven spoken of in the New Testament, he visited the people of the Book of Mormon. What he personally taught them can be found in 3 Nephi, starting in Chapter 11. It is an amazing book. Any true follower of Christ should read it.

Maybe I'm reading your question differently than others. Are you asking where in the Book of Mormon does it talk about Jesus coming to the Americas? or are you asking in the Book of Mormon did Jesus come to the Americas before or after His death?
Assuming you mean the first, it is prophesied that He will visit the Americas many years before He is even born, then as the time gets closer to His death we are reminded that it was earlier prophesied that He would come and visit them (the Nephites). 2 Nephi 25:19 mentions that Christ would come 600 years after Lehi left Jerusalem. Alma 45:10 says "...in four hundred years from the time that Jesus Christ shall manifest himself unto them, shall dwindle in unbelief. "
Time period of 2 Nephi 25: Between 559 and 545 BC
Time period of Alma 45: just prior to 73 BC (in verse 20 there is a date reference, so verse 10 is probably some time in 74 BC)
Hope this answers your question.

After.
And, why can't people just answer the question? Instead they have to show hatred or intolerance.

a little off topic, but..
if you're looking into the b of m, check out 2nd nephi, chapter 5, verses 20-25 where the lamanites are "cursed" with dark skin to be less enticing to the "fair and delightsome" nephites.
that was a big part of why i stopped being a mormon at 13yrs...

after he was resurrected.
but it's just a 19th century novel, completely fictional and plagiarized from other books published in that time.
