I just bought a great bottle of Thai chilli sauce, after eating only to discover it is the hot variety, not the mild variety. It's so spicy! Does anyone know what ingredients could i add to it to tone done the fiery taste?

Actually, this sauce if used for dipping, of course, if used with other ngredients it would not be as hot. It's just, if you use it for Kebabs and fishballs it's very spicy, so i would like to know how to make it less spicy : )

Add any good quality oil, just before you use it. Two dots of Thai chili sauce to 2-3 tbs oil. If you use Olive oil, it's better for you. If you add the oil to the bottle the oil will get hotter over time.

Good luck!

Some Thai dipping sauces have peanuts in them. A few spoons of peanut butter stirred into the sauce will make it less "hot" and it will also taste great.

Thai foods are based on a balance of hot, sweet, sour and bitter. So, you wouldn't use just the chilli sauce.

pouch a tomato and then but it in the blender along with the Thai chili sauce. That might work.

You can add brown sugar to it.
just however much you need to suit your taste.
you will need to heat the sauce up first though so the sugar dissolves.
