I got a second piercing in my ear lobe. It hasn't caused me any problems..as a matter of fact, this is the sixth week, so they should be healed by now. This morning i woke up for class and it was leaking a little bit of clear fluid. Last night, one of my ears were itching a bit, but it was the opposite ear that had clear fluid..the other ear didn't have as much. It smelled just like the ear care antiseptic. I know clear fluid can be a sign of rejection, but the sixth week?? I was told that it just could be the cleaning agents that i'm using, and to not panic and whenever i'm able to go 2 claire's, to just get my post earrings and take out my studs. Any suggestions out there?

i just got my ears repierced cause they closed up and they start leaking frequently if i were you i would keep the starters in for awhile til they stop leaking and keep an ear ring in your ear for about 6 months and also try cleaning them more often

I wouldn't worry. Sea salt soaks can help a lot, because they are natural and they are used to pull out infection. I would talk to a dermatologist or a reputable piercer at a tattoo parlor instead of the girls at Claire's. They are not trained very well for side effects if at all. Don't worry, keep everything clean, put back in post earrings and ask someone who takes care of piercings for a living. Hope this helps!

The itching in your ear means it's healing!! My first ear piercing I received when I was 8 days old. I can go weeks without any earrings and it still oozes clear stuff. I just use the Bentine. I used that when I had my belly button pierced. Of all the people I know, I was the only one who had no problem with that piercing.
Just keep cleansing it. You have nothing to worry about.

I always thought that clear fluids coming out of your body were OK. It's the colored and opaque liquids that you want to worry about. Your body has a foreign object in it. It might reject your earrings years from now. It all depends on you and what your body will tolerate. It could be that the studs you have are not made of the proper metals for YOU. I know I reject nickle. My ears itch like crazy! But silver and gold are good for me. Claire's also ain't the best place for good quality earrings... get some NICE ones made of the proper metal for you. :)

i Had the same thin happen to my ear..you could be allergic to the nickel or whatever they used to pierced with.. you might need to get it re-pierced with something else or just keep cleaning it with the cleaner
