No in the same way it is not compulsory to like children - I'm not a fan of them - but the whole universe thinks we should be!

No it is not compulsory to like dogs, its not compulsory to like any animals or anyone. It is a choice you make all by yourself. I used to manage a dog pound. Now I think dogs are okay, but I am a cat person. Does this mean I mistreated the dogs? NO, I don't believe in mistreating anything. But dogs are not my favorite animal.
Choices make us who we are as individuals. Be an individual.

They bring a lot of joy and there are lots of them, so the chances of you coming into contact with them is mucho high. Of course, I am a dog lover so am biased, I can understand what you are saying though because I feel the same way about cats. Each to their own, you like what you like.

It is OK if you don't like dogs. Important you are not mean to them or any other animal. Maybe one day a puppy will come into your life and change your mind.

They are cute at times, but I would never get one. They're like children that never grow up. But, tell that to a dog lover and they act like you just said you want to kill their first born. Dog lovers are hard core.

No, I bloody hate dogs, they have terrible breath and insist on getting right in your face and proving how bad it is. And they've been known to chase my cats - i've now had to shoot 3 dogs that have come onto our land and chased my puddy cats, and i'd do it again.
