is it the same if you use corn oil instead of vegtable oil when u r baking a cake?

the oil from every vegetable is a little different. "Vegetable oil" is typically a blend of a few different oils, soybean, corn, canola, sunflower, safflower, etc . . . Producers blend oils depending on the prices and availabilities of the various oils at the time, so two bottles of vegetable oil that are sitting right next to each other on the shelf may have slightly different compositions.

Olive oil is usually not a major part of "vegetable oil", because pure olive oil commands a higher price.

If you're using pure corn oil instead of your regular vegetable oil, the results will probably be a little different, but it might be just as good.

Corn is a vegetable. However, vegetable oil is generally soybean oil. A little difference in taste but nothing to worry about, use either or Olive for that matter.

yeah pretty much i don't really taste the difference but you should try it instead, but you should just melt some margerine if you need some vegetable oil.

Yea they are pretty much the same thing. The only thing is one will affect your weight more than the other.
