Xanax is in a class of drugs called benzodiazepines. Xanax affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause anxiety.
• Xanax is used to relieve anxiety, nervousness, and tension associated with anxiety disorders. Xanax is also used to treat panic disorders.
• Xanax may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
So dont take more than the doctor ordered.

Rarely is a person prescribed more than 2 mg. 3 times per day--and that is the max that I've ever heard about. Too much of an anti-anxiety med can kill you. Never mix alcohol with Xanax, or you stand a really good chance of never waking up.

If you do decide to overdose on Xanax and you do not kill yourself you will wake up regretting like all get out because your liver and kidneys fail. So then you've got to heal for a while, not to mention everyone sending you off to a psych ward. God did not build your body for that. There are enough sick people in world wanting to live and there you are thinking about overdosing with Xanax!

It can cause a lot of damage. The dose depends on the weight, tolerance and whether or not the person throws up the meds. before they sucumb to the overdose, very risky business and not too smart, get help.
