A pregnant chick (tried) to cut me in line today at the supermarket. She bumped up on me with her fat roll/gut/baby/whatever...and I simply asked her, "Are you okay?" I thought she was crazy because she kept rubbing on me lookinf foolish. Then she tells me "Listen, I gotta run to my appointment real soon and I had to get something to eat, could I go in front of you?" while rubbing her belly. What was I supposed to do? Call Sally Struthers? I paid for my cartfull of grocery and made her wait her turn without acknowledging her any more than a "are you insane???" glance.

Is this what you all DO?

jewels28...being pregnant is gross and I can't believe that things put her belly on me. I should sue for sexual harrassment.

(petit violin playing) mommasow...give me a break. You are not catatonic. I will never let you cut in front of me because you chose to breed. Grow up.

Classic! Good for you! You had to wait in line, so should she. It is not your fault it she is pregnant. If she is running late to her appointment, maybe she should work on her time management skills. If that is too much for her, maybe she isn't ready to have a baby!

I am not like that girl at all I have let people cut in front of me if they had less than me and I am on bed rest when I was pregnant with my son and was going to vote I was on bedrest and they put me in front of everyone so I could vote but I didn't ask I stood there for awhile and I asked a person if there was anyway of having a seat because I wasn't supposed to be on my feet for a very long time and they put me in the front of the line I guess that was pretty cool.

I don't believe just because you are pregnant that you should get to cut in line or have special parking places. However if I am in line with a cart full and someone is behind me, pregnant or not and only have a few things, I would offer them to get in front of me without them asking.

I don't think that anybody should be entitled to cut in line just because they are pregnant. Yes, it maybe uncomfortable to stand and wait, but perhaps the person behind you may relize that you are pregnant and offer to let you cut in front of you.

The way that this lady asked to cut wasn't the best way. She could have asked to go ahead of you because you had a cart full.

People shouldn't cut infront of others, pregnant or not. I think people treat pregnant ladies like they are handicapped. When I was going to Beauty school, all some of the girls had to do was," I think I might be pregnant", the instructors would let them get out of all kinds of things that they could have done. I knew a lady who was 8 months pregnant with her 2nd and she was moving couches by her self. ( I know not very smart, but it happened). Now if I had a cart full and I wasn't in a hurry and someone behind me only had a few things ( pregnant or not) I would let them in front of but, but not when they are being unecessarily rude and thinking that just because you are pregnant you should be dealt with like a fragile porcelian doll, or like we ( the unpregnant, unworthy people) should have to bow down to them like some kind of god.

Can you tell I have had a issue or two with bratty pregnant women?

I have never cut in front of someone at a store. I am 37 weeks pregnant and feel guilty for parking in the "new or expecting mom" parking spot at the grocery store to avoid slipping on the ice and falling, and i have medical issues!! Some people just dont think...however I have let pregnant women go in front of me if she just has one or two things and looks big and uncomfortable, just to be courteous and I can relate to how she feels. I guess it depends on her approach to you, with the story you just gave, I dont know if i would have let her..

I guess neither of your breeders (ie: parents) bothered passing the gene containing compassion on to you. Good luck with all that. It will come back to you in some form, some day, when you least need or expect it. I really hope that you're never in a situation where you need assistance for any reason and someone refuses you.

I would have let her go in front of me if I was in no hurry. I have let people that aren't pregnant go in front of me if I have a whole cart load and their standing there with 2 or 3 items.
Never hurts to be nice once in awhile, you never know when you may need the favor returned.

PS After reading your rude comments to people's answers I have come to the conclusion your a spoiled brat. Damn glad your not my kid, I would be so ashamed. I'll bet if your parents knew what they were going to produce, they'd have got an abortion. Your the one that needs to grow up!

Have you every been pregnant? My guess is no. I would have let her go, especially if she didn't have that many things. When I was pregnant I almost fainted waiting in line at the bank. Carrying a baby does weird things to your body and your emotions. Cut the baby carrier some slack.

They shouldn't cut in line. Except maybe to go to the bathroom (i acknowledge what you said about the bad bladder) but if the pregnant women is really really pregnant and really really has to go, i think it you should let her, cuz pregnant women have a tendency for it to be harder to hold.

Pregnant or not, I let people cut in front of me quite a bit if I have a cart-full and they only have 1 or 2 items. I try to be courteous.
