Nice one! Yes, I reckon it must be. Here in the UK, the antional IQ has been going up since WWII, and despite a few dodgy dudes converting to islam now, just because they think it's cool, the basic trend is towards an atheist, or at least agnostic population

Christian view points suited people 50 years ago but it does not fit the needs now. There are too many changes in the world at a range of levels and the influence of television levelled at very young children does influence thinking. People are asking questions that they normally would not ask if fear that they would be punished physically in some way ( when I asked ticklish questions at my catholic convent school I got a bone handled knife and was sent to scrape chewing gum off the stairwell of the year 12s) People were scared to hold conversations and ask questions because of the limited availability of information (no internet , if you wanted to know something you went to the library and waded through 100s of books) there were no forums like this one, so if you could not read you had to ask questions to a stuffy pious old priest who gave you his interpretation and sent you back to the flock - bah bah.

Now adays we have a wealth of informatoin at our finger tips and the christian views just dont aswer questions. And realy how can a virgin give birth, how can people descend in the flesh into the sky, how can people walk on water?? There are 00s of logical questions and they just fly in the face of the information fed to people by the churches. having said that - there also other choices for people now, which were not available 50 years ago and people have the choice of religious preference and freedom.

In the end people will believe what they want to believe in whether it be the bible or nothing. I have my own spiritual views which suit me but I may not have had access to those views 50 years ago.

i believe alot never really were followers of Christ. Alot of people preach/advise them that if you accept Christ you will live a wonderful, joyous, easy, love filled life and nothing bad will happen to you. Instead we should be advising the fact that God is a just God and on judgement day, we all will be judged according to his Law. Just as if we went before a judge and had committed a crime. Rape, murder, treachery, or were a thief. Do we really think that a judge would say, i'm a great person and can over look the crime you committed and let you go just because you say, I didn't know, or whoops sorry, didn't mean to stab that child 20 times and leave him on the side of a deserted road. NOPE.. God loves us and is good, but because he is a just God he will see that no sinner enters the gates of heaven. Lots of people also preach/advise that they are Christians but there are different kinds and be weary of the false teachers.

Because organized religion is a manmade concept, and it's failing to meet man's needs. Sadly, many "churches" have thrown the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak, and without God, any religion is just a hypocrisy.

The prophecy says that in the last days many will turn from the faith.
Just a sign of the times.

Also said it will be like the days of Sodom and Gomorrha.

Take a look around the web and see. Hellooo, knock knock

'The Magdelen Laundries' should be in your video shop but the tv drama 'sinners' was more accurate if you can find it.
over 30,000 were involved up till 1996...how old were you at that time?
How many of your friends, you or your sister could have ended up here.
