We are heading in the same direction as much of Europe. As we become more educated we have less and less need for superstition.

I can't say that I have noticed, but what I do know is that you have just gave truth to God's prophecy with your post, and I truly can not watch every other Christians walk for keeping my eyes on my own.

And even if every Christian in the world fell from grace I would still be here patiently waiting on the Lord. As far as IQ goes did you know that one of the most intelligent physicist in the world is Christian? Stephen William Hawking read up on him...

(1John 2:19) They went out from us, = = but they were not of us; = = for if they had been of us, = = they would no doubt have continued with us: = = but they went out, = = that they might be made manifest = = that they were not all of us.

Those who are Not Really Christians = LEAVE FOLLOWING = Error and Lies!

And NO, the National IQ is falling! No longer in schools is the CAT or the SAT used to Gage The Satisfactory Education!

It is the FCAT so the States can get Federal School Monies!

GUESS AGAIN?

Thanks, RR

Not that I support the snarkiness of your question, but I believe the reason is scientific advances. The more we know about how the universe works, the more we know it's not the universe descibed in the Bible.

Based on your name, I assume you mean Christians turning to atheism. I don't think that's necessarily the case. For some reason, people don't seem to understand that there are other choices besides atheism and mainstream religion. Paganism, for example, is one of the world's fastest growing faiths, inpart because it embraces science in ways that the monotheistic book-based religions do not.

Blessed be.

People are turning away from compromised Christianity. The real thing is growing.

I don't think that "Christians " are turning away from their religion. It is just that we used to assume that Christians were born and not made.

It's harder to believe in something bigger than yourself and live up to high expectations. It's easy to choose a downhill path or a level one, but the view from on high is much better once you finally ascend the heights.

Our society smacks of a lack of sticktoitiveness and committment. People choose whatever expediency promises to benefit them the most in the moment, regardless of future value on their investment. It boils down to instant gratification.

If you only had the hard statistics to back this up......Be scientific about your claims would you? BTW I'm rooting for agnosticism.atheism myself....But still........What studies?.......

By all means to the poster directly below me, one can indeed be spiritual without the God concept. I am a Buddhist myself. 'Tis not an either/or proposition.....

In a word "sin"... Sin destroys nations, America is gone, the U.S. will be next. Jesus is coming back! The word shall be the Judge.

What information or facts do you base this question upon because a recent Gallop poll stated otherwise.
