Have you ever gone on a vacation / holiday ALONE?

Question

If yes, where? Did you enjoy yourself? What kinds of things did you do? How old were you? Were you scared to go? Or whatever you feel like sharing...

I have traveled alone a few times. The first full holiday alone was to Thailand. I was never scared but I got bored and lonely sometimes. I did meet some people, but only on one island.

I have been to Dubai by myself a few times but it is very safe and easy to meet people. Mostly I would go shopping and to the spa and then out to a club at night.

I went to Ibiza alone and that was quite fun and I met lots of people at my hotel and even just on the streets. It is just that you shouldn't walk alone there at night. Barcalona was a little dodger alone because I noticed I was being followed a couple times but then I turned right around and looked right at them and then they turned around and went the other way, that was wierd.

Turkey was my scariest. I don't know if it is because i am blond (I know my avatar is brown, I just dyed it) and blue eyed because my stepsister didn't have any trouble there but I was constantly being harassed.

Mostly I did enjoy traveling alone because when you travel with people you spend lots of time trying to plan things and decide what to do but by yourself you just do what you want when you want. On the other hand sometimes you find yourself thinking that it would be nice to have someone to share this with.

I travel alone all most time. I've been to many places these years, San Diego,Los angels, San Francisco, NYC, Las Vegas, Thailand,Mexico...I really enjoy my time. Sometimes I can meet some great people in my trip.

No but lately I feel if I ever want to take an overseas trip that is the only way I'll wind up going.
