We adopted this dog a month ago, he's 2yrs old & housebroken. Only he will go poop in the corner of my daughters room if we leave and sometimes when we are here. Why is it only her room and why does he do it?

Perhaps because after she pooped once, a scent (that only he can smell) is still left there. This might be where he feels comfortable pooping, because he knows that he did it there once. I would suggest trying to clean the area with some type of cleaner that is designed to get rid of animal smells. I have heard and tried white vinegar, it seems to work. Also, try the pet store, there are dozens of things to help get rid of these odors. Good luck.

The floor beneath the rug has been previously soiled and the dog is marking the spot. Or, in the case of my dog, she is a spoiled brat and insists on soiling the rooms she is not allowed in on a regular basis. Hail the Queen.

Sometimes animals will go to the bathroom in the same place repeatedly because of the smell...Have you tried Nature's Miracle? It's a cleaner specifically made to get rid of odors from pet messes. Its at most pet stores. I've had cats since I was little, this cleaner works wonders.

Dog and human being are very closed together from beginning of our society as you know this truth very well ;as per bathroom of your daughter is concern with the gender of the dog.

Dogs like to pee/crap in the same place, usually because they can smell that it's been used before for the same thing. It's their way to keep things "sanitary"

You should thoroughly clean the area a few times, and use produsts that specifically neutralize pet urine.

thats probably the first place he ever went in the floor, and with their keen scent they smell where they went before, and that room is probably least occupied and he feels safer going there.try taking him out every hour, for a while, and when your not there keep him in a kennel.look up krate training on google.it will help alot.

Dogs go by scent. Get a good scent remover made for removing animal urine and feces. That should help.

maybe its a territorial thing - he is being protective of her...
or if there has ever been another animal in there he is reclaiming the room as his.
