If you are not worried about size, look into different characteristics like coat type, personality, and activity level. Once you figure out what kind of breeds you like then you can find a puppy from a reputable breeder, or you can adopt a puppy from a shelter. Whether it is a pure breed dog or a mixed breed. You can go to AKC.org and dogbreedinfo.com. They have all different dog breeds for you to see so you can decide. And you can go to petfinder.com to find puppies in your area at animal shelters who need homes.

I find almost all dogs make good pets. My favorites are pit bulls, english bulldogs, American bulldogs, labs, golden retrievers, rotties, dobermans, boston terriers....and the list goes on. But akc.org and dogbreedinfo.com will give you More info about all the different breeds.

Well.....I think that a Labrador retriever or golden retriever would be good dogs because they tend to get along well with other dogs and sometimes cats. I would personally go with the Labrador retriever because they are a bit bigger so they wouldn't be helpless against your other dog. Both dogs are great dogs. Eather one will be a great companion if you raise it with love. Well hopefully that helped some. Good luck!

I would suggest either a labrador or golden retriever. They are excellent family pets and seem to get along with everybody in the right environment. Plus, they are super sweet, easy to train, and so darn cute. Good luck.

First look at the reasoning behind getting a dog? what is your lifestyle? laidback? active? do you have the time & $ to care for a puppy? do you have time to potty train? after that look into breeds that you like and research research and research some more until you find a dog that is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. Then go and talk with breeders of that breed and learn if the breed is for you and start looking for the perfect fitting puppy within the breed that fits your family & lifestyle.

hmm,,,, I am a dog lover too, even though I'm still young. You know I am only 14 yrs old from Philippines. I suggest you must have a good breed of puppy, like Japanese Spitz. It is the breed of my dog now. it can be trained by yourself alone. It never bite. It is always sleepin on my chair, he dont want to sleep anywhere. They are quiet but brave.

All domestic dogs are lovable, yet they don't stay domestic dogs for lengthy. the genuine question is, what type of canines will in good structure into your existence, and are you prepared to right look after it for the subsequent 10-20 years? Do a glance for for 'canines breeds' or 'canines breed selector' and also you would get countless information on the various kinds of canines. you may also go for your interior sight guard and spend some time with the canines and domestic dogs there.
