So most of you say that you don't want to hear it... throwing pearls at swine kind of thing....

Then why do you hang around here if you don't want to hear what YOU KNOW you're gonna be bombarded with it?

Are you here to convince us that there is no God?

Sounds like an inner-outcry for God to me... :)

The stronger you resist, the more God will show his love to you. Keep denying me, I'm blessed for it.

May the God you don't believe exsists show his love to you.

"Are you here to convince us that there is no God?"

We are but the voice of reason crying in the wilderness.

"The stronger you resist, the more God will show his love to you. Keep denying me, I'm blessed for it."

I've been a Satanist & Atheist for 20+ years. I've seen/heard/felt no evidence of god.

By "we don't want to hear it" we mean we don't want to be preached at by someone who is only trying to convert (i.e., show us the "light") and bring up arguments with nothing to back them up. A lot of us don't mind intellectual debates between atheism and theism however.

Are you here to convince us that there is no God?
- No. We are here, or at least I am, to simply show that the facts tell us a god's existence is highly improbable and there is yet to be ANY evidence of which to speak.

Sounds like an inner-outcry for God to me... :)
- :(
You have no respect towards atheists do you?

The stronger you resist, the more God will show his love to you. Keep denying me, I'm blessed for it.
- THIS is what I mean by preaching. I am not resisting your god any more than I am resisting that there are no unicorns out there.

Questions:
a. I have never claimed I don't want to hear it, although if you think about someone witnessing, when the listener politely says, I'm sorry, I am an atheist, but thank you for stopping by, THEY KEEP RIGHT ON TALKING and quoting the Bible. Not sure how witnessing for your God somehow excuses you from common courtesy, but have yet to see one say, OK have a nice day before they quoted 6 verses and explained THEIR beliefs.

b. I hang around here because I enjoy the Q & A

c. I am not here to convince you there is no God, if you ask me why I'll be happy to share, I don't one bit expect you to consider factual scientific views anymore than I believe stories from 2000 years ago.

d. I don't resist anything, I have listened, I have observed with my own ears and eyes and made a decision based on what I know, not what I hope for or have faith in.

And your comment:
"May the God you don't believe exsists show his love to you"
No thanks, food gets on my table because I work for it.
I didn't ask for, nor need his love. I'd rather he share it with the
children who are dying from starvation in his land of milk and honey, actually instead of loving them, maybe he could just give them some fuc king food.

1- this isn't a place for discussing Christianity alone.
2- I'm here because there are many questions directed at atheists/ about atheism, and the existence of god which are the ones i usually answer.

Ah, the old: "You keep denying it but you secretly believe" bit.

In case you hadn't noticed, this is the RELIGION and SPIRITUALITY section. As in "not nessecarily Christian". As in "There are other people with other beliefs beyond your own." And who says an atheist can't be spiritual?

I challenge you to end the argument: Prove beyond a doubt that there is a deity, and that your version of it is the right one. With proven facts and evidence, not anecdotes or quotes from your stone-age holy book. Real evidence.

Waiting...

I am here because it is fun nothing more. I enjoy answering questions and earning points. I enjoy reading other people's posts. I enjoy seeing the stupid and ridiculous questions people like you post. I don't care whether or not you believe in a god. In fact I could care less. I have no need for your god and I never will. He doesn't exist.

It is strange that some atheists come here and compain about being preached to; If you don't want to hear it leave.

However your argument that because we are here and may wish to convince others that god does not exist, and that this is secretly a desire to believe, is arrogant and ignorant.

It's no different then assuming that anyone who stands up for, and disseminates their beliefs, are privaetly doubtful. Including you. I mean if you are so confident in your beliefs why are you here to discuss religion? Is it because you are looking for self-support to maintain your beliefs?

Why don't you simply end all the debate and prove your god exists?

And why do all you believers ask question about evolution here, rather than doing so in the biology section? Don't want to be contradicted with FACTS?

Believe you can catch farts and paint them green if you wish. Just keep that crap out of US law.

I'm not even an atheist but it's pretty clear that you just don't get it, do you?

Maybe, in truth, you hang around here to be convinced that there is no God? Ever think of that?
