well, be honest and unselfish with yourself: who is best for her? If you can honestly say yourself, then talk to your friend and let him know that you're gonna ask her, then quickly run and beat him to it. =) If you honestly think your friend might be better for her, than be humble and back off.. that shows much more character and maturity than just ignoring your friend and, well, honestly, being a jerk..

if u think hav a chance go for it and even i u don't think u do who knows it will show her how u feel, but i dnt know the girl so the best advice can come from one of the girl's best friends

let him ask first if she says no to him you have a better chance of her saying yes to you and if she says yes to your friend that tells you she was not interested in you but with out the pain of regection.
