Well I just got back from getting my navel pierced. The piercer told me that I cannot do my workout routine until about 3 or 4 weeks from now....what can I do to ensure I dont gain any weight during those times while I am not working out? I mean, I am going to do walking and still limit my calories. And suggestions?

NOTE: To those wondering: The reason I cant excersise is because I have a condition where my body doesnt heal properly, so they have to make sure the piercing is completely healed before resuming my excersisng.

what IS your workout? I just stopped crunching 4 a couple of days. Put a bandage over it so it doesnt snag. That just sounds wrong... I still worked out after breast reduction, childbirth and broken leg. Kick boxing I think would be out of the question though...

I have known several people, that have belly rings, they were never told not to exercise, just clean the area with salt water several times a day for six weeks, and watch for any sighns of infection, but I don't see why you can't exercise.

You can do simple aerobics.
All you have to do is put on some music you like and wave your arms around and do some dance steps - sort of like doing disco. If moving your arms is uncomfortable then just do the foot work.
