I always have problems in school. Im smart,, and its easy for me to catch on when Im taught.. but Im always sleeping in class,, and I always get at least 8 hours of sleep. I get side-tracted VERY easily. I think the longest Ive ever listened to a teacher was for like 30 seconds.. then Im thinking about stuff in my own little world. I can even read a 2 paragraph story without going back and reading it 100 times.. bcuz I cant pay attention.. and my mind wonders off. No matter how hard I try I cant pay attention to what a teacher is teaching us for more than 2 minutes.. and I usually catch myself falling asleep in classes about every other day. What the hell is wrong with me.. and why am I like this?

It could be several things:
1. You could have a different learning style. Some people learn best through reading. Some learn best through listening. Some learn best through hands-on trying things for themselves. etc.
2. You could have a higher than average IQ level. Take a test from MENSA or the High IQ Society and see what percentile you fall into. People with higher than average IQ levels sometimes get really bored, really easily because their minds aren't being challenged enough.
3. You could have a mild form of ADHD. People with ADHD have really difficult time concentrating on what they are doing. (I doubt this one for you though because you are still keen on picking things up).
4. You could need more sleep. You might need between 9 and 10 hours of sleep if you are a teenager. If you're not, you still might need more than 8 hours. Also make sure that your room is dark and free from any noise/distractions and that you limit your caffeine, exercise and TV/Music awhile before you go to bed. You might be "sleeping" for 8 hours, but if your body is not falling into REM (Rapid Eye Movement, the deepest level of sleep), then you're not really getting the amount and "intensity" of sleep that you need.
You can also check with your doctor and/or counselor to see if there are any deeper issues to look into.
Hope this helps! :)

There's a possibility of ADD, but it could also be you need to be moved up a grade or two. If you're not challenged enough with the work it makes you board and then you your mind starts to wander. Talk to your school counselor about this first to save a trip to the doctor. If you counselor suggests doctor than go, but they could help out a lot with the situation. You may just be too smart for your current grade.

You may have attention-deficit disorder (ADD). It could be hereditary or an side effect to depression. If depression is the case, seeing a psychratist may help of getting down to the problem and focusing more clearly. If hereditary or another disorder, there are medication that can help. Seeking your doctor's opinion on this is recommended.

It sounds like you have ADD, or attention defacit (I don't think that's spelled right) disorder. It means you have problem focusing on one thing for a long period of time. In other words, you have a short attention span, especially for things like education and school. It doesn't mean that you're mentally retarded or anything, just a little medicine would probably let your real intelligence shine through!

you can write that long paragraph, but can you stand reading those long paragraph if it's written by other people.
if yes, then you're normal, you just need to learn how to focus.
if not, well, you might be an autism...but autism usually is for children only, how old are you anway? autism children tend to be smart though.
