I was changing batteries for a calculator and when I pulled out the old batteries they leaked all over my hands. I washed my hands for a long time but I hope if any did get into my skin it wont hurt the baby! I am 31 weeks and this may sound stupid but can anyone relate? My doctors office is closed for the day and it may be a dumb question but I just want my baby to be ok. Thanks!

HI, I DON'T THINK THAT IT WOULD HURT THE BABY. IT JUST GOT ON YOUR HANDS RIGHT. I THINK YOU WILL BE OK.

No, battery acid on you for a little while won't hurt your baby :-) To make sure you get it all of of you though, make a basin with baking soda water and put your hands in it for a while. Baking Soda neutralizines the acid.

Go the emergency deptartment of the hospital and get your selves checked out.

Even a small amount of that sort of stuff is extremily dangerous.

Call an ambulance if you have to.

I can't relate but you should call a poison control center and ask them, they should know if its dangerous or not. Good Luck!
