I'v been on 2 casual dates with this really nice, decent friendly guy. Though I'm not convinced there's enough sex appeal to keep me happy...or am I being too haste...he seems quite happy to see me again, but I'm not sure if he'd bore me...he's not exactly a man of many words.

So I am wondering how long (or many dates?) should I wait till I can safely say that I should or shouldn't carry on seeing him...is there any way of knowing that it's a good thing to not waste doubt on? :( I guess it doesn't help not knowing what I really want from a guy anymore.

I usually give a girl 3 dates. If by the end of the third date I am still only slightly intrested I move on.

You can carry on until:

a) You meet someone better

b) He falls madly in love with you and this is not reciprocated on your part, so you need to back off to spare his feelings.

Personally, if you're not sure but you think he's okay, and you don't have any better offers right now, then I would hang in there for a bit longer.

I would go on one more date and see what happens. My friend dated this guy who she wasn't really into at the beginning and now they have been married 3 years.

It's also important that you work out what you want from a relationship.

If there aren't any sparks flying in the beginning, there never will be. You can still go out as friends, but don't keep "dating" him. He may be disappointed, but it's better to let him down now than after he's gotten the idea it may be going somewhere.

If your unsure, then maybe go on one more date. But if you know deep down that there isn't that spark or chemistry then maybe you shouldn't see him again and waste your time or his.

Well, in my opinion, if the chemistry isn't there it is not there, and you will just end up leaving him for someone who you have chemistry with. You have made a friend though, and they are more precious than lovers.
