Because your puppy is a puppy. Young puppies need to be kept confined in crates when you're not home - both for their own safety, to preserve your belongings and to assist in housetraining. You need to get a crate and use it.

How long are you gone? How old is the puppy? Does he have enough toys? Is the house clean?
If you are gone for more than 4-5 hours regularly, then he needs some sort or 'relief'. This could be a pet walker or a doggie day care, but it's not right to expect a dog to be good while being left alone for longer than that regularly.
A crate is not a substitute for proper care. Yes, crate training can be wonderful and helpful, but if you are gone for too long and expecting too much from your dog, then it is outright cruel.
Puppies teethe. Pick up anything that he can get ahold of and leave him lost of chew toys instead. And confine him to a space where he can't chew things. Lots of people use baby gates around their kitchen - consider trying this. And pick up your clothes and he wont' chew on them.
Good luck to you both. : )

Because like children puppies get bored easy and need to find away to keep themselves entertained. They are also teething and need to chew. Confine them in a place where they can't chew anything except the chew toys you provide. A crate may be a good idea but make sure it's big enough and not for a prolonged period of time. All dogs need exercise so make sure it gets plenty that will also help decrease the boredom. good luck

if you don't have any toys for him or her to chew on to keep from being bored, also it could be because he or she is a little angry at being left alone. I suggest that you get you baby some squeeky chew toys (they love the squeeky ones because of the noise) and also rawhide chew bones and rope bones that will give them something to do while you are gone. I beileive that it is more boredom rather than anger but even if they are angry then they can take the anger out on the toys rather than your stuff.

How young is your puppy? That's a normal behavior in puppies, because they're teething, and they will chew on just about anything. You can try getting some chew toys, and that will probably help some.

Some dogs have a really hard time when their people are gone. If you try to make sure that the dog has plenty of stimulation and attention prior to your leaving, it may help the problem some. Also try enclosing the dog in a small area when you leave so that it has little opportunity to damage your stuff.

particular he will advance out of it. purely like infants chew on stuff whilst they are teething, puppies do too collectively as their tooth are arising. I advise crate guidance him so which you will go away him in there collectively as you're long previous, and furnish lots of toys for him to chew on (Kongs are super) and positioned away issues you do no longer choose chewed. verify you compliment him whilst he chews on the final suited products. good success!

All puppies chew. It's a combination of boredom and teething. They can only chew up what they can reach though. Confine the puppy when you can't watch it for its own safety.

You could put your dog in a crate, but if you're like me, tha5t just wont work.
Buy him a raw hide and teach him that chewing on furniture and other items besides rawhides or toys is a big no-no. Puppies do it, but they eventually grow out of it once you teach them.

Crate train your puppy. Mine still just likes to hang out in it years later! Try getting a dog toy like the Gordo. Fill it with treats and because it will take a lot of time and effort to get the goodies out, it will keep you pup distracted from bad behaviour!
Here is the link to the toy: http://www.thedivadog.com/interactive-dog-toy,-large-dog-clothes-dog-beds.aspx
