James Toney has been in brutal matches but refuses to be knocked out. Jirov and Peter landed alot of shots but James never stumbled.

Hopkins has never been out but then again his defense is so good he doesn't get hit clean that often. Same thing with Floyd his defense is too good so he hasn't been hit enough to say he has a great chin.

Toney has my vote for #1

I wouldn't say anyone in the sport today can take a lot of punishment and not go down. Mayweather is good because he is a boxer and not a brawler. He is very good at dealing punishment and without getting hit. Morales was thought to have an iron jaw until he met Pacquiao. Oscar De La Hoya has gone down 4 times. Barerra is tough as nails, but he has lost several fights also. I would say there is no true iron jaw fighting today.

Calzaghe and Hatton should both be mentioned as both have been in some wars and both have only been down once in their careers, and they were flash knockdowns that they both dragged their backsides back of the canvas to score impressive wins, and dont forget both have over 40 fights without defeat and before all the Americans jump in and say they havent fought anyone Tszyu and Lacy were and are two of the hardest punchers in their retrospective divisions and neither could KO Hatton or Calzaghe.
As for your comment about Mayweather he hasnt really got in with a big puncher who has been able to punch him, Castillo tried his heart out but just couldnt put him away, that was the closest Floyd has come to defeat, most other big punchers that Floyd has faced get outboxed, i have a feeling that De La Hoya will show us whether Floyd has got a chin or not as Oscar is that technically correct that he will definitely get through at some point then we will see if Mayweather has got what it takes.

i saw james toney's rematch the other night...he took some serious blows and did not go down...he was outweighed by at least 25lbs...he did go down in one of the rounds, but it really looked more like a slip than a knock down...he is a light heavyweight in the heavyweight division...

Nikolai Valuev, he's a heavyweight champion from Russia who is over seven feet tall. He's undefeated and I don't believe he's gone down. He has a very thick, weird-shaped head so that probably helps.
