When does he plan on concentrating more on his driving and less on just making a buck? I know I'll get some hostile responses from you fans out there that think he's the "savior" of NASCAR. But hey that's alright. I can take it. Even after all the years he's been in the sport he still doesn't compare to the likes of a Jeff Gordon, or a Tony Stewart. Or even Jimmy Johnson And he'll never even come within a mile of his dad. I would put him in a catagory with the likes of Wally Dallenbach or Kyle Petty. Even though that would be an insult to Kyle. I would'nt want to do that to Kyle. He's a good guy.

My predictions of hostile responses were correct. Just look at the first guy's answer. I mean come on. Just look at the stats. Jeff Gordon...75 wins and 4 championships, vs
Jr's. puny 17 wins and...wait for it... ZERO, that's right ZERO, championships. Just look at the numbers.

This won't answer the question, but let's compare Jr to Matt Kenseth. They both ran for rookie of the year and Kenseth won. Kenseth won his first Cup race before Jr, and Kenseth has a championship and almost got a 2nd one last year. Jr's record sheet shows nothing like that. Take away all the restrictor plate wins and there's not much to talk about. Jr is becoming a more all around driver, but he's nothing compared to many of the guys he races against. Theresa didn't do anything that other car owners haven't already done. She's stuck in a pretty tough position no matter win or lose.

In many ways you are correct. From the statistics (and it pains me to say this) Jeff Gordon is a far better driver than Jr. (Not that I particularly care for Jr., mind you) And you're right, he doesn't compare to Stewart, Johnson, or his father, nor will he touch the likes of veterans Terry Labonte, Rusty Wallace, or Mark Martin (Yes, I am a bit old school). He came along at the right time and gave NASCAR a needed PR boost and brought new fans to the sport but that doesn't make him a "great". He may even have it in him to be "great", but he's going to have to work really hard to get there, but I wish him all the luck in the world. He'd probably be considered more successful if he didn't have to walk in his father's shadow.

Okay first off Theresa is the problem. She is to concerned with making Dale Sr. memorabilia, instead of a competitive race team. Second Jr. is making DEI money, not just himself. Third if Junior had cars like the boys at Hendrick, Gibbs, and Childress he would have better stats than the likes of Jeff, Tony, and Jimmie.

So after he kicks that b*tch to the curb and gets in a real car, you can try again.

First of all, I would never put Jr in a category with his dad. That would just not be right! He has to make is own name and his own style of driving!! He's not a money hungry buck chaser as you call him. As for you comparing him to Jeffy boy, my driver doesn't blame everyone for everything, he takes his own faults and fesses up to his own mistakes. As for the Tony Stewart, hes a little like Tony Stewart, got the attitude to drive and win. If you havent noticed, Kyle Petty, HAHAHA its been a loooooooooong time since hes done anything worth mentioning. So why drag his name into all this? Jr is the driver and if you dont like than keep you crap to yourself. So what he doesn't have a title yet, notice I said yet, that will change soon. Give him time!! He's not a pretty boy!

Although he may not have won a lot of races thus far in his career, he does get all of this attention because of who his father is and the titles he won in the Busch Series. There is one thing that you can't deny and that is the attention that he helps bring to the sport. And if he were to leave DEI many of those sponsers would leave too. Who else does DEI have that could be their "feature" driver. I'm sorry Martin Treux isn't good enough to be that kind of guy. I just think Teresa should be worried about putting the BEST guys and cars out there for her drivers. That's what Gibbs, and Roush does.

MONEY!!
yes that is what it boils down to.i mean after all dale sr is the one who funded DEI and got it going.with dales passing it went all to theresa.well now dale jr wants a piece of the pie and the money hungry hooker will not let him have it.put urself in his shoes.how would u act or react?

one other thing,jr may not have 4 championships in the cup series or as many wins as jeffy does, but he also has not raced as many years in the cup series,it does not take a brain surgeon to figure that out.
jr will win his races,he may even win a cup championship, but i do not think he will ever come close to his father and he may not come close to jeffy, but he will win.

First of all I am not a JR fan but I have lots of respect for him... Much like that one fella who is a "die hard JR fan" poking fun of Jeff. How many championships does JR have? Oh... Jeff has 4... you have to compare the facts my man... call him what you want in the meantime...

As for JR... I dont know if its about money... I think he just wants to be a part of DEI for the long run. If you notice he always talks about his "Daddy" not his Dad... That to me makes me think that the family was very tight, or at least him and his dad were... We know Teresa and Jr were not close. I am sure the money from it would be nice, but I am thinking there is some family pride involved in that as well. He does not want to race against his "daddy's" name... he wants to race for it. If he does not get signed back up I hope he goes to RCR (where "daddy" raced) and kick the asses of all the DEI cars... (AND I AM NOT EVEN A JR FAN!)

Like I said I am not a Jr fan, but if he does not come back to DEI... well where does that leave DEI? Leaves them with nothing... Teresa has to put her differences aside and sign him back up for the long run.

Think of this... If Jr leaves, she will probably lose half of her money in the long run, maybe more. If Jr gets half the business, she will lose half the money, but saves the headache of trying to find a driver who will bring in the cash like Jr does... Lets face it, even without results, Jr can bring in more money than someone like Robby Gordon (for example) that she would have to pick up to race for the team.

38 days until the opener!

For one DEI doesn't give JR the cars to be successful. Maybe if they had better cars Jr could win more races.

As for JR not winning a championship and Gordon has won 4, when Gordon one those there weren't many great drivers as there is now and has your precious Gordon one a Championship since Jr has been racing cup, NOPE. So ha that doesn't make him any better. At least JR doesn't spin people out to win(Kenseth/Gordon at Joliet).

Just because you like the other drivers better you do not have to put Dale Jr down. He does win races and he does a lot of good stuff for charities!!! He is not stuck on his self like some of the others he is down to earth!!! Don't worry about Dale he will do alright!!!!!

Junior said once he would be disappointed not to have won a championship by age 30 so why is he so upset that Teresa would question this. And why is he so willing to air family disputes when before he said Teresa was the rock that he and his sister leaned on? Teresa always refers to all Dale's children as "our" children so I thought the sarcastic stepmother comment was out of line.
