Is any battery recyclable, or only rechargeable ones?

Would you happen to know some stores that you can take batteries for recycling? Thank you.

I know they recycle car batteries, but I don't believe they recycle flashlight batteries, even rechargeable ones. You can usually recycle a car battery anywhere you can buy one. You just turn in the old one when buying a new one.
