Christianity is a monotheistic[1] religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament.[2] Christians believe Jesus to be the Son of God and the Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament.

He wasn't. Christian means "Christ follower". As for going to hell and burning eternally, Hell is the common grave of mankind, and there is no burning eternally. There is, however, Truth, that is in the inspired Word of God, and is there to "make our way prosperous and have success "(Psalm 1) God has only one religion in mind, and it can be found by searching the Scriptures and then finding out what faith matches.

There is no such scripture because Christians have accepted Jesus Christ and follow his teachings. Thus, they are called Christians.
You approach the scriptures wrong if you are looking for places it says you will go to hell. They are meant to lead you to salvation and eternal life. Read the new testament. The book of John is a good place to start to look for God's plan for your salvation. John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life."
If there is a way to live eternally in the peace, love and fellowship of God (and there is) why not seek that instead of ways to miss out?
God bless you.

By definition, He is what christianity is about. (Do you need a scripture saying one who lends books is a librarian?)

Mark 14:61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" 62 "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."
