I have this guy friend. We just met in the beginning of the school year. We've gotten really close. Until, one of my friends told us that we act like a couple. After that, he stopped talking to me for two weeks. I really missed talking to him. And then, we started talking again because he told me he needed his time. Anyways, since then, we've been closer than ever. And when he was having troubles with his girlfriend, He'd tell me anything. Plus, after him and his girlfriend broke up. He told me that he wished his girlfriend was half as good as me. And well,He's always flirting with my best friend. [She knows I like him]. And well, it hurts me. But after the class is over, he always comes to me and say that he doesn't like my friend, that he's just kidding. And now, I met a new guy friend, and my guy friend says that he gives him "looks." He tells me everything, and I do the same. We come for each other for everything. I really like him.But I don't know if I want to risk our friendship.

This sounds very similar to what a friend of mine is experiencing.

I'm going to be honest with you: I don't think that you should make your friendship with this guy friend of yours any more than that. It seems that the very idea of you two being a couple frightens him. And even though he says he is changed, in my opinion that is seldom the case. I also think that if you do attempt to have a romantic relationship, it could and possibly would ruin your friendship. And you don't want that.

At the end of the day, it is your decision to make, but I believe those reservations that you are having and his past behavior indicate that it could be a mistake.

I guess what I'm saying is, if he really liked you in that way and wanted to have a relationship with you, it would have already happened.
